I had the write speed set to 8x so what else am I doing wrong? Ultimately these problems are caused by poor disc quality? LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 13, 2010 Share Posted November 13, 2010 You're using cheapo media, I mentioned that in my first post. The drive doesn't like the stuff you're using now and it's failing. You need a good drive/firmware/media combo to get a decent burn - so something is wrong with yours. Changing the media is the easiest thing to try.
