Matty Posted December 23, 2010 Share Posted December 23, 2010 Hi All, My first post here, so here goes. I have just started to backup my xbox 360 games to DVD+R DL disks. My first attempt was with Resident Evil 5, and not a single problem using Datawrite(Ricoh) DL disks. However, I must have been through 10+ of these disks and been unsuccessful on every one of these occasions. Im using a Sony Optiarc BC-5500H burner. That's like writing off a diesel car because the petrol you purchased works fine in your other car (which was actually designed to run on petrol). Drives always have a preference on which discs you should be using. They'll burn some perfectly fine and fail miserably on others, that's just the way it is. We have a thread dedicated to people buying cheapo DVD+R DL discs. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000 Personally, I'd never purchase a slimline drive - generally speaking, they're all rubbish. You'd be better off buying a tried and tested (for burning the DVD+R DL you want to use - what's going onto them is of no consequence) normal size drive and putting it in an enclosure.
