and i keep getting the same error.

 

"Set L0 Data Zone Capacity Failed!

Reason: Power Calibration Area Error"

 

which then turns into...

 

"Set L0 Data Zone Capacity Failed!

Reason: Invalid Field in Perimeter List"

 

Just updated my laptop burners driver so I hope that's not it. Using Memorex DVD +R DL discs.

In the first part you abort the burn and then you try to use the "used" disc again.

For a DL disc, after the layer break setting. But somehow you managed to abort it during that phase.

And I'm still having an issue. Thing is that the same problem occurred with another backup of mine.

See if there are any updates to your firmware to your burner, if it is up to date the only thing you can try is to try burning at 4x instead of 2.4x

Sorry, this is why the topic was accidentally posted twice. I forgot to say that the other backup that had the same problem (with a different sector of course) is working fine at around 1/3rd through.

Have you tried with the write speed on 4x too?

 

Have you tried cleaning your drive with a cleaning disc?

 

Have you tried with the 8x Verbatim discs? (MKM-003-00 dye)

 

If all else fails, get yourself another drive (non slimline).
