elizuberty Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Hello! I am unable to play a burned DVD in my Samsung Blu-ray player. I followed the guide to create a single layer DVD. I have a VIDEO_TS folder with all necessary files. The burn and verify were both successful. I am able to play on my PC but not on my MAC or player. When I open up the burned DVD it has an empty AUDIO_TS folder and the correct VIDEO_TS folder. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers! ianymaty Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 As long as it burned and verifyed OK, ImgBurn has done its job perfectly. You may want to try higher quality media from Verbatim or at least other MID/dye than CMC media, for compatibility testing your other players/devices. Look for firmware updates for your other players/devices. A part of this, you shouldn't stuck at SP1 on Vista, SP2 is out there from ages.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 You have a disc with PAL format content there. Can your player play PAL stuff? Lots of US players only support your native NTSC TV format. I don't know what problem the MAC would have with it though. I assume it can play DVD Video discs ok normally?

The MAC can play normal DVDs just not this one.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Yes, you can convert PAL to NTSC (and vice-versa) but that's not something for this forum... Google it.
