rideon Posted July 20, 2006 Share Posted July 20, 2006 (edited) Hi Guys, I've been having a lot of problems burning Verbatim 2.4x MKM-001-00 on a LITE-ON SHM-165P6S. Someone on the cdfreals forum suggested I ask here if you can spread any light on my problems Instead of copying everything here, please take a look at the cdfreaks forum for some screenies and more explanation in my thread (http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=186748) copied from my thread @ cdfreaks: This litey seems to be OK, not perfect scans by any means but I can live with it. It even seemed to burn a DL disc fine yesterday That is until today when I tried to burn a DL disc, which failed half way through with a "power calibration area error send dvd structure boundary information DVD+R DL" error (forgot to copy the exact wording ) I then tried again, and this time it spat the disc out before even starting the burn at the "setting L0 capactiy". It then pretends to close and finalise the disc (I copied the log from ImgBurn) (which it doesn't as the same disc is now burning in my pio 109) The discs I am using are Verbatim 2.4x, made in Singapore, which came in a 10 Spindle. Software is ImgBurn, using a MDF/MDS image. The drive is running MS0P stock firmware. I've only got HPT ticked in Smartburn. Tried it with it off, same result. LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 21, 2006 Share Posted July 21, 2006 I'd already seen this over at cdfreaks actually - I didn't really have anything to say on the matter when it was over there! Something about drive just doesn't like the media. The media might be fine, it could be that the drive is faulty.... or it could be the other way around. It really is anyones guess! Either way, there is nothing I can do about I'm afraid, the ball it most certainly in your own court. Perhaps one of the newer 'test' firmware will do a better job?
