Maybe its my dvd's but i cant get anything to burn on these.

ok idk what the issue is my sony dru-800a has the latest firmware and im using memorex dvd+r dl.

I expect even the latest firmware (which you're already running) for that drive pre-dates the introduction of the 'RITEK-S04-66' dye/MID.

 

i.e. it won't support them properly / at all.
