Burn speed drooped down to 0.1x?

I am burning Middle Men and at 59% burn speed has dropped down to 0.1x and then down to 0.0 its been like that for a while?? Never have seen this before I am burning a 50gb TDK RE that I formatted in windows. I have already burned a few disc's but have not run into this problem. I canceled the first burn and reformatted the disc but its the same thing. No changes as this is the way I always burn. I really don't know what to do so any help will be appreciated!

Seems your drive or system got stuck and now won't process any I/O commands from the program (plus it's probably stuck in the middle of processing one).

Do another full format (erase) using ImgBurn.

Post the log (copy + paste from the Log window) if you run into problems.

Now the only thing that I have seen funny with these discs is they have never burned faster then 1x and if I stop and format with Imgburn it will take 10-12hrs for a 50gb disc right? My drive is new its a LGBH10

It takes about 1.5 hours for a drive to format a BD-RE properly and with full certification - so the drive performs it's own internal checks on the disc to make sure they're writeable and readable.

Then it'll taken another 1.5 hours for ImgBurn to write zeroes to all the sectors - thus making it truly empty and providing you with another level of testing before you try and write real data)

As you're having problems with said discs, isn't that time well spent? It's not like you have to sit there waiting for it. Set it going and go do something else.

They aren't burning faster than 1x because you have spare areas (aka defect management) enabled. When it's disabled, they'll burn at 2x in your drive.

You do have the 1.00-09 (1.00-A9) firmware installed yeah? Right click the drive selection box and hit 'Capabilities'. It should list the full firmware version number on that window.

Yes I have 1.09 installed and the disc finally burned and I played it a little bit to see if it worked!! But I took your advice since I was in the middle of the burn when I contacted the forum! I popped in a new disc last night since these are RE disc's and formatted with ImgBurn and it seems to be burning just fine at 2x!! Then we will see about playback!! Thanks for the heads up Lighting!!
