Image burning fails

[Razgon]

A few months ago I got this Acer Aspire 8943G laptop, and a friend told me download ImgBurn, and as far as I can remember, it worked perfectly. Now, I cant burn anything - The issue is with Verification, where it always fails.

 

I use standard Sony RW dvd's

Those RW discs, are they scratched/fingerprinted/heavily used?

You know, right after I posted this, I checked the current disc, and I could see scratches on it. Im trying with another right now though to see if there's any difference.

 

I've tried with a few different ones the last few weeks though, so it would be...well, not good if every disc I had was faulty due to scratches.

Can you write/burn regular DVDs without any issues?

 

The latest log showed max as write speed, not 3x.

 

The main issue is that the burn is "crappy" and can be read back.

 

Perhaps a cleaning disc that cleans the laser lens might help.

Strange - I could have sworn I set it to x3 speed.

 

I will get myself a cleaning cd and then try again.

 

Strangely, the burn seems to work fine though.

Try doing a full erase on the disc if you haven't done so already.
