lordgalla Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Hi ALL; I'm using latest DvdFab and Imgburn 2.5.5.0 to backup some blu-rays on BD-R 25GB Disc's.All was working fine for a while,I have a LG WH10LS30 Blu-ray burner. All of sudden I'm getting 2 errors in imgburn when burning blu-rays. 1)failed to write sectors 0-30-reason-program memory area update failure,It re-try's once then seems to go ok.? 2)finalize failed-reason-cannot write medium incompatible format.I close and eject disc, and it seems ok.? these two errors starting showing up after I used a BD-RE 25GB Disc,it formatted and burned to that disc. then I went back to the BD-R 25GB Disc's,and these errors started showing up,that's all I can think of that I did different. Using 25GB Disc's,and I have the Size in DvdFab set to 23700. Any Idea What's going on here?? funny thing is the disc's seem to play ok,on computer, and on blu-ray player? Why these Error's all of a sudden? Please, any help appreciated.Thankyou
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 You should have posted a log - as per the pink box up the top It seems there's something about the discs that your drive just doesn't like (now). Are you running the 1.00-A9 firmware? Right click the drive selection box when you're in Write mode and click 'Check for firmware updates'. It'll tell you the full firmware version number in message box that pops up.

lordgalla Posted February 21, 2011 Author Posted February 21, 2011 Hi,these are the errors I'm getting now in imgburn when trying to burn a blu-ray ISO.Bad Disc's? I have a LG Burner WH10LS30,updated firmware to 1.00-A9 Disc ID:INFOME-R30-000 Disc's are Called Gigablock BD-R 25GB/130min.1-4x.....Are these Disc's Junk, according to log? They say Recommended for LG BH10NS30 and above? Imgburn_log_error.log
LIGHTNING UK! Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Your log shows the drive returning a 'Write Error' whilst trying to burn to the disc - so there's something about them that it doesn't like. I burnt loads of discs during testing on my BH10LS30, but I'm afraid 'INFOME-R30-000' wasn't one of them. http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=16152 Perhaps you could try with something else?
