Temp Files

I did a search and notice that LIGHTNING UK mentioned the ImgBurn doesn't really use any temp files. I was just looking for a clarification, here is my situation:

The disks I am needing to burn need to leave no traces on the machine that they are burned from as a requirement of the work contract we are doing. If I just do a disk copy what locations (if any) would I need to go to to securely erase any potentially recoverable data. the machine is a Windows 7 (x64)workstation running the latest Img Burn software.

No traces of the disc or no traces of ImgBurn?

All you'd have for the disc is the image file (.IMG, .ISO, .BIN, .CCD, .CUE, .DVD, .MDS) you create in the whatever folder you tell it to create it.

For ImgBurn itself there would be a mention of volume labels, image file names in the log file. That lives in the current users appdata\ImgBurn\Logs directory. (You can get to it via the 'Help' menu in ImgBurn)

The program also saves a list of the (16 I believe) 'most recently used' image files.

If you run the program in portable mode from a USB stick, you wouldn't have to worry about the ImgBurn stuff being left on the local machine - because that info would be on your usb pen instead.
