tnhillbilly1950 Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 I have repeatedly gotten an error with this one DVD: SALT. I have made many backups of other DVDs without a hitch, but the copy protection on this one always stops me. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions, aside from just buying another copy Thanks! Cynthia Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 but the copy protection on this one always stops me. ImgBurn is not designed to bypass copy protections. Sounds more as the other program you have running is the one to blame.
tnhillbilly1950 Posted March 3, 2011 Author Posted March 3, 2011 It made it to 76% with anyDVD but only to 31% without it.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Either way, your disc being unreadable is nothing to do with ImgBurn.
tnhillbilly1950 Posted March 5, 2011 Author Posted March 5, 2011 Either way, your disc being unreadable is nothing to do with ImgBurn. I realize that; I just thought the people who work on the software may want to know. I have copied other DVDs that I know have copy protection with ImgBurn just fine. I was not complaining about the software either as that would really be ungrateful to the creators of this FREE software. Instead, I thank them for making it available at no charge. Thank all of you for the comments as well.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I'm the only one that works on the software. It's not ImgBurn's job to deal with or remove protection from discs - it makes no attempt to do anything other than a plain old 'Read'. So if that fails, it's out of its (my) hands.
