JazzDNL Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 I have a problem that the 50GB rewritables i bought ,just have 45 GB of space abvailable. I've read and tried Lightning UK's solution (A full erase/format with ImgBurn with 'Prefer Format Without Spare Areas' enabled in the settings (Write tab)), but this doesn't seem to work for in my situation. I have a LG-BE12LU30 burner, and Panasonic BD-RE DL ReWriteable 50Gb 2x-discs can this be why the suggested solution doesn't work? Or do i need to buy other disks? all help is highly appreciated
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Load the program, switch to Write mode, insert the BD-RE DL disc and then copy + paste all the disc info text from the box on the right. If it looks like this, you have nothing to worry about. JazzDNL Posted March 31, 2011 Author Posted March 31, 2011 Tank you for the quick reply the size is ineed 48,828,125 KB. I ran into this problem when i wanted to burn a 50GB-ISO file on this disk, i thought your solution would free up some hidden/reserved space. What kind of disks do i need to burn 46GB+ ISO-files then?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Technically, you could use the triple or quad layer ones but you'd need a certain drive for that - one that supports BDXL. I suggest you look at ways of making the ISO smaller.
