Drivernerd Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Hi, I want to burn some MKV files but doesn't work. I mean the burning process works fine, but my Blu-Ray Disc Player LG BD550 doesn't recognize the burned MKV file. The same MKV file works fine if played from external USB drive. Maybe something's wrong with the ImgBurn settings? Here's the MKV file info generated with MediaInfo: General Unique ID : 223132836867042904709617178605442047352 (0xA7DDD23ACEB758B4BF93A947D34C1D78) Complete name : C:\Users\Tom\Desktop\Sample.mkv Format : Matroska File size : 4.37 GiB Duration : 1h 34mn Overall bit rate : 6 648 Kbps Encoded date : UTC 2011-04-18 12:50:03 Writing application : mkvmerge v4.6.0 ('Still Crazy After All These Years') built on Mar 10 2011 02:50:32 Writing library : libebml v1.2.0 + libmatroska v1.1.0 Video ID : 1 Format : AVC Format/Info : Advanced Video Codec Format profile : High@L4.1 Format settings, CABAC : Yes Format settings, ReFrames : 4 frames Codec ID : V_MPEG4/ISO/AVC Duration : 1h 34mn Nominal bit rate : 5 716 Kbps Width : 1 280 pixels Height : 540 pixels Display aspect ratio : 2.35:1 Frame rate : 23.976 fps Color space : YUV Chroma subsampling : 4:2:0 Bit depth : 8 bits Scan type : Progressive Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.345 Writing library : x264 core 114 r1913 5fd3dce Encoding settings : cabac=1 / ref=4 / deblock=1:-1:-1 / analyse=0x3:0x113 / me=umh / subme=6 / psy=1 / psy_rd=1.00:0.00 / mixed_ref=1 / me_range=16 / chroma_me=1 / trellis=2 / 8x8dct=1 / cqm=0 / deadzone=21,11 / fast_pskip=1 / chroma_qp_offset=-2 / threads=3 / sliced_threads=0 / nr=0 / decimate=1 / interlaced=0 / constrained_intra=0 / bframes=3 / b_pyramid=2 / b_adapt=2 / b_bias=0 / direct=3 / weightb=1 / open_gop=0 / weightp=2 / keyint=250 / keyint_min=23 / scenecut=40 / intra_refresh=0 / rc_lookahead=40 / rc=2pass / mbtree=1 / bitrate=5716 / ratetol=1.0 / qcomp=0.60 / qpmin=10 / qpmax=51 / qpstep=4 / cplxblur=20.0 / qblur=0.5 / vbv_maxrate=50000 / vbv_bufsize=50000 / nal_hrd=none / ip_ratio=1.40 / aq=1:1.00 Language : English Audio #1 ID : 2 Format : AC-3 Format/Info : Audio Coding 3 Mode extension : CM (complete main) Codec ID : A_AC3 Duration : 1h 34mn Bit rate mode : Constant Bit rate : 224 Kbps Channel(s) : 2 channels Channel positions : Front: L R Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz Bit depth : 16 bits Compression mode : Lossy Stream size : 151 MiB (3%) Title : AC3 2.0 @ 224 Kbps Language : Romanian Audio #2 ID : 3 Format : AC-3 Format/Info : Audio Coding 3 Mode extension : CM (complete main) Codec ID : A_AC3 Duration : 1h 34mn Bit rate mode : Constant Bit rate : 640 Kbps Channel(s) : 6 channels Channel positions : Front: L C R, Side: L R, LFE Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz Bit depth : 16 bits Compression mode : Lossy Stream size : 431 MiB (10%) Title : AC3 5.1 @ 640 Kbps Language : English Audio #3 ID : 4 Format : AAC Format/Info : Advanced Audio Codec Format profile : LC Codec ID : A_AAC Duration : 1h 34mn Channel(s) : 2 channels Channel positions : Front: L R Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz Compression mode : Lossy Title : AAC 2.0 @ 64 Kbps Language : English Text #1 ID : 5 Format : UTF-8 Codec ID : S_TEXT/UTF8 Codec ID/Info : UTF-8 Plain Text Language : Romanian Text #2 ID : 6 Format : UTF-8 Codec ID : S_TEXT/UTF8 Codec ID/Info : UTF-8 Plain Text Language : English Menu 00:00:00.000 : :Chapter 01 00:02:23.268 : :Chapter 02 00:03:02.807 : :Chapter 03 00:06:41.025 : :Chapter 04 00:10:10.484 : :Chapter 05 00:12:40.050 : :Chapter 06 00:15:57.790 : :Chapter 07 00:16:45.754 : :Chapter 08 00:18:07.169 : :Chapter 09 00:20:44.660 : :Chapter 10 00:25:41.873 : :Chapter 11 00:27:06.041 : :Chapter 12 00:29:10.457 : :Chapter 13 00:31:26.217 : :Chapter 14 00:35:13.611 : :Chapter 15 00:38:08.369 : :Chapter 16 00:40:12.201 : :Chapter 17 00:42:38.347 : :Chapter 18 00:45:14.044 : :Chapter 19 00:46:20.778 : :Chapter 20 00:49:32.302 : :Chapter 21 00:52:52.586 : :Chapter 22 00:54:08.662 : :Chapter 23 00:58:29.631 : :Chapter 24 01:01:50.790 : :Chapter 25 01:04:59.020 : :Chapter 26 01:08:53.796 : :Chapter 27 01:11:09.848 : :Chapter 28 01:12:00.482 : :Chapter 29 01:13:05.381 : :Chapter 30 01:14:20.789 : :Chapter 31 01:17:04.578 : :Chapter 32 01:19:25.051 : :Chapter 33 01:22:17.682 : :Chapter 34 01:25:10.522 : :Chapter 35 01:26:52.415 : :Chapter 36 Thank You for your support. LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Post the burn + verify log please. Do your player specs say MKV is supported from DVD/BD media?
Drivernerd Posted April 18, 2011 Author Posted April 18, 2011 I forgot the verify log, sorry. mmalves Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 You've disabled the Verify option, so we don't know if the disc was burned correctly or not. You could use Beyond Compare, or even HashTab, to compare the source file and file burned on the disc to see if they match (they should). The only other thing I can think of is disabling Unicode support for UDF filesystem (Advanced tab -> Restrictions tab -> UDF tab) but it's unlikely that this is the problem. By the way, there's newer firmware available for your burner.
Drivernerd Posted April 18, 2011 Author Posted April 18, 2011 (edited) Fixed! I reinstalled ImgBurn and now it works fine. The problem was into settings: THANKS! Edited April 18, 2011 by Drivernerd
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 That shouldn't have been an issue, UDF on its own should have worked fine. You should still do the firmware update and perhaps try burning at 8x - as you aren't really using decent quality discs.
Drivernerd Posted April 18, 2011 Author Posted April 18, 2011 (edited) It's impossible to download AD7203S_1091W_1578.ZIP. The download starts than it stops around 30%. Any mirror for the latest firmware 1.09? Bad luck with Google too . Thanks again. Edited April 18, 2011 by Drivernerd
ianymaty Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 The download works. Probably your antivirus/security program is blocking you.
