LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 25, 2011 Share Posted April 25, 2011 Your drive is ancient and you're using cheapo discs. The best thing you could do is get rid of both. You might have more luck after you've cleaned the drive with a cleaning disc and got some decent Verbatim / Taiyo Yuden (Victor JVC) media. As that's a laptop drive (correct, yeah?), you'll be better off getting an external 'normal size' drive - assuming you have USB 2.0 on your computer of course.
