Loader87 Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 I am in the process of converting a DVD from NTSC to PAL format videos and menus included. By using IfoEdit I have been able to convert the Videos to PAL no problem, I then proceed to create the DVD and burn it in Imgburn, it writes and verifys the disk fine. My problem is that upon playback of the DVD the menu system is messed up. This background image of the menu seems to be squashed where as the button selection information seems to be normal. So I end up with the button highlight rings not matching up to the buttons. I'm wondering if this is a problem caused by Imgburn that people have already encountered and overcome or if its a problem with IfoEdit. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 ImgBurn burns as-is, so the issue is with your files (and the program that created them). As most PAL players support NTSC anyway, why don't you just leave them as they were?

The Client wanted them converted, I assured them that there wouldn't really be a problem but they insisted. Thanks again. Edited May 5, 2011 by Loader87
LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Go back to them and say that changing frame rates and resolutions creates a whole bunch of new problems. Anyway, best of luck with getting it sorted.
