Hello

I have a movie downloaded which is an AVI file...all I would like to do is put this onto a DVD so that I can watch the movie on my DVD player. I'm new to this....could you please give me real easy instructions on how to do this? I read your guide and it's greek to me. I always use DVD-R

Please, please, please

Thanks in advance

Well here's a 'fast' way of doing it. In the EZ mode picker choose 'write files/folder to disc. You will be taken to a different screen, then click on the button with the file with the magnifying icon under the +, and choose your file and then click burn to disc, the file folder and the arrow pointing to the disc. See the pictures for an example.

After that you will have your .avi file burned on to your disc.

*NOTE*! You requested specifically to burn the .avi file onto a disc, so thats what I did, is give instructions how to do that, however... You stated:

Be sure to know whether or not your DVD CAN play .avi files beforehand (check the manual). If it doesn't then your disc will be pretty much useless to your DVD Player.

If it does NOT support .avi files, then you can still convert your .avi file to the standard DVD-Video format with DVDFlick. Imgburn does NOT convert anything, it burns your data as is.

Thanks for the info. Although when it was done which took all of 2 minutes, I put the disc into my DVD player and it said no disc. All of the movies that I put onto disc are always AVI files so I know my player supports AVI files. I was using nero...but it started to screw up frequently so that's why I decided to try this software.

Do you have any other ideas?

nput .

Please post the log of the burn you did that didn't work.

If you look at that disc in Explorer (examine the contents), how does it compare to discs you've burnt in the past that actually work?

How long did it take to burn the discs when you used Nero?

What make/model DVD player do you have?
