joejoejoe1eee
Basically, I'm running ImgBurn on my Mac via CrossOver (http://www.codeweavers.com/products/crossover), and I'm trying to burn an .iso to a DVD, but the application is not detecting my DVD. Any ideas on what I can do? Thanks. ImgBurn.log Edited May 16, 2011 by joejoejoe1eee

joejoejoe1eee
Neither of the provided solutions worked. Thanks for helping though
LIGHTNING UK!
So what happens if you just change the I/O interface to ASPI in the settings (on the I/O tab) ? Can you copy + paste the stuff from the log window once you've done that please.
joejoejoe1eee
Using ASPI doesn't change anything, as shown in the log. I've tried a couple of different ASPI's, as was noted in CodeWeavers support. ImgBurn.log
LIGHTNING UK!
FrogASPI is a simple wrapper for SPTI - i.e. a complete waste of time Delete it and see if anything is built in. ASPI works fine on Wine under Linux without installing anything - isn't CodeWeaver's Crossover basically the same thing?
joejoejoe1eee
CrossOver on its own is very good, but I don't understand why it doesn't have the ability to recognize the CD/DVD drive, and the solutions posted on their support site obviously didn't work. There were wnaspi32.dll and WINASPI.dll files in the directory in the system32 folder in the bottle, before I tried the alternate ASPI, but that didn't work out either. LIGHTNING UK!
Wine/CrossOver config does have a 'drives' section though yeah? And assuming it does, you've made sure your optical drive is listed there as a cdrom type device? What does the original ASPI report itself as in the log file? As this appears to be a generic ASPI/SPTI issue with CrossOver, can't you go directly to them and ask for assistance/a fix?
joejoejoe1eee
The original ASPI just says "Initialising ASPI", and then yields no devices found. I mapped the D: drive through winecfg to my blank DVD but that didn't change anything for either STPI or ASPI. I will try contacting CodeWeavers to see if there's anything different that can be done. LIGHTNING UK!
It was the built in version's line like this that I was interested in... I 16:46:43 Initialising ASPI...I 16:46:43 WNASPI32.DLL - frogaspi.dll - Frog ASPI - Version 0.29.4.10 A copy + paste of the text from the log window is enough, no need to upload a file. (unless you did that for another reason of course?)
joejoejoe1eee
What I was getting at was that it didn't have a line that specified a version type. I 18:47:43 Shutting down SPTI... I 18:47:43 Initialising ASPI... I 18:47:43 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... W 18:47:43 No devices detected!
LIGHTNING UK!
Ah I see. Must be a dll with no product/description/version information Thanks anyway!
