LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 The first error is the real/important one. W 14:37:36 Failed to Write Sectors 5888 - 5919 - Reason: Spindle Servo Failure Try the other supported write speeds (note that 8x wasn't one of them in the first place!) Try cleaning the drive with a cleaning discs. Try getting some Taiyo Yuden CDs. (Verbatim Pastel Discs will do - but not any other Verbatim ones because they'll be CMC too)
mmalves Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 If you can't get Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim CDs, try with Sony CD-Rs (yellow carton), they've been working great for me.
