wasp748 Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 i have 2 dvd roms & i use them to burn XBOX games at the same time, when i use both of them the write speed drops to 1.5X but when i use 1 of them without the other i get the maximum speed, any idea for how to fix it, i've tried dma stuff and used a fresh copy of windows XP and no use also i used to burn with both of them and they booth worked fine????

LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 2 physically different hdds to 2 different burners should not a be a problem. Please post the burn logs from both burns you've attempted under those conditions. I assume you aren't using adapters on any of the drives? (IDE/USB -> SATA etc) When burning at full speed with just 1 drive, can I assume you've tried that with both of the drives? So either of them will burn at full speed when the other isn't also burning. If only 1 of them works at full speed then obviously the issue is with the other one
