Hi I am new here and have a problem. I'am burning blu ray video I have went to the options and set the data type to 2048 the file system to udf and the udf to 250. I have done this many times but every once in a while the blu ray comes up as a blu ray data not a bd-r bdmv. is there something that I'am setting up wrong so I could not have a bad disc that won't play on my blu ray or my computer. Thank you Roadtrip

What playback software are you trying to use on the PC?

The disc should be fine - assuming your source files were ok in the first place.

As for the standalone player, do you know if it supports the cheaper LTH media you're using?

Posted

yes I have used them for a while. after I posted the the problem the next disc worked. I have been having this problem the last couple of disc. Like I said I do every thing the same but some times when it is done it comes up as bd data. I drag & drop the bdmv & the certificate here is the log from the one that works

thank you Roadtrip

You didn't answer my question about which PC playback software you're using - or maybe you didn't mean you were using any PC playback software at all? dvdfab isn't playback software.

If the disc burns and verifies ok, it's out of our hands.

Posted

I have powerdvd 10 and all the other ones that i have done plays back on the computer or the 2 sony blu ray players. is it something that I am doing wrong why is it juat once in a while. Roadtrip

Posted

It's unlikely you're doing anything wrong.

If ImgBurn says the 'Content Type: BD Video' then it should be ok.

The one you burnt in your initial log looks ok - but you didn't verify the disc so we can't really be sure.

Why don't you output to an ISO, mount it in a virtual drive program and then see if it works?

If it does, burn it to disc.

I assume you have the latest update installed for PowerDVD?

Posted

thanks for your reply yes I have the up date for powerdvd I play back the blu rays on my sony blu ray for my surround sound . I think I 'am going to to out and buy some bd- re to try them out til I find out what is going on Thank you for your time Roadtrip
