Having Failure only using image burn

Recommended Posts

I am using image burn to make backups of game discs. I have burned successfully in past. Recently I started getting error on setting the landing zone. It says something about failing setting power or something like that. I can burn data, movies, audio with this burner with no problems. I can burn the same files over the network to another burner so there is nothing wrong with the files.

I am wondering if you have any thoughts. is there maybe a setting that has gotten off or do i need another version or something...

thanks

I could buy the media bit but i can burn everything else to it using same burner with different software. the same files burn over the network to the cheap media so something is going on besides media.

any ideas...

Hey, thanks for your help. I guess I am really just confused by it all. I know the media is not the best. I live in the country with no electronic stores and the memorex/ which is actually ritek is all i can get. My only problem is i have always used this media, even though it is junk, and never had any problem before. If there was a problem with the drive I should see it while burning other types of files as well. It should be consistent. Maybe you are right, maybe I need new firmware, but that does not really make sense either, why would it start all of the sudden. Anyway, I appreciate your help. I can burn over the network, it is just a pain, lol.

Here is the whole file, hope it fits.

Thanks for trying to help me..

Your version of ImgBurn is out of date - old versions are not supported.

Your firmware is way out of date.

Get the latest version from here:

http://www.firmwarehq.com/Lite-On/SOHW-1633S/files.html

That RITEK-S04-66 dye hadn't even been invented when your drive/firmware were created so no wonder it can't burn them.

It's probably about time you got a new drive.
