Unrecovered Read Error

Hello,

 

Im new at this. I'm making an image of a DVD so I can copy it to new media. When the status bar gets at about 34% complete, it stops and I get this error repeatedly. It will not get past it. Does anyone know why?

Your drive just can't read the disc.

 

What sort of condition is it in?

 

Does it look dirty/scratched?

 

If so, try cleaning it.

 

If possible, try using a different drive to read it.
