Arch Posted July 13, 2011 Author Posted July 13, 2011 Try burning at 8x instead of 'MAX' (16x). Okay, I changed the burn speed to 8x and it still got stuck at the end at Synchronising. LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 What controller is the drive attached to? If you don't know exactly, maybe you know what chipset the motherboard uses in general? (Intel, AMD etc) Try turning off the auto change booktype option in the settings, then power the machine down, wait a few seconds and power it back up again. Then do another burn.
Arch Posted July 13, 2011 Author Posted July 13, 2011 I turned off the auto change booktype option and shut down the computer. Restarted and burned another coaster that got hung up on the same message. I'm not sure how to tell what controller the drive is attached to. My motherboard is MSI 790FX-GD70. I use the AMD 955 BE CPU at stock. Here is another report after this last attempt: I 16:19:54 ImgBurn Version 2.5.5.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 That's a little weird, my LG GGW-H20L certainly doesn't booktype to DVD-ROM after being turned off and on again. From the MSI website... On-Board SATA • 6 SATA II (1~6) ports by AMD® SB750 • 2 SATA II (7~8) ports by JMicron® JMB322 • 1 eSATA port by JMicron® JMB362 - Supports storage and data transfers at up to 3Gb/s So which port number is the drive plugged in to? You'll have to actually look at the motherboard for that info (i.e. open the case )
