Ranguna Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 (edited) I have just bought 6 Memorex DVDs+R and i was trying to burn an 1.8GB ISO but it failed 3 time (so now i only have 3 DVDs), the error was "Unable to Recover TOC". I have tried to clean the leans with a leans cleaner but nothing worked... I have updated ImgBurn to the latest Firmware but it continues to fail... #39;( The first time i tried i used a speed of 2,4x then it failed, the second one i used 1x then it failed and the third one i used a 8x and again it failed... LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Try with some decent Verbatim (MKM/MCC dye) or Taiyo Yuden disc. If it can't burn those either, get yourself another drive.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Memorex is a brand name, they don't make their own discs. It's the dye/MID the disc uses that's important. You could end up with totally different dyes/MIDs being used on different Memorex spindles. Your drive doesn't appear to like the 'CMC MAG-M01-00' dye/MID that those discs are using.
