Use a new disc, it looks like you've already tried and failed to burn that one.

Hi

I have got 2 Burner.

All media that fail with BH10LS30 work perfectly with my internal Notebook DVD Burner.

On my PC I create a new partition and I have made a new Windows 7 installation (this time at 32bits).

So, in old Windows 7 LG BH10LS30 don't work, in the new installation work fine.

This means that LG BH10LS30 is not broken.

But I don't want reinstall all my application for a SPTI problem.

Is it possible to reinstall SPTI driver ?

Some hints ?

thanks

It's not a driver as such, it's built into the OS - therefore, there's nothing to reinstall.

Post the log of your drive failing to burn a NEW disc.

The one you've posted there doesn't show/tell us what the real problem is.

For a Verbatim -R disc the amount of sectors should be:

I 19:40:38 Destination Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: MCC 03RG20) (Speeds: 4x; 6x; 8x; 12x; 16x; 18x; 20x)

I 19:40:38 Destination Media Sectors: 2 298 496

Sure you used a new unused disc in the burn you posted screens about?

Yes, 3 different discs (Verbatim DVD-R), show always the same error.

On my notebook that discs work fine with imgburn.

I make another test, just now.

Thanks

The same problem prior to the installation of the 1.0 version of the firmware?

Same problem with 1.0 and 1.01 firmware (downloaded from "firmware HQ")

The likelyhood of your project and disc both having that exact size figure are pretty slim... so you might want to double check the discs you're using really haven't ever been put in the drive before.

Hi,

Yes the DVD Video was created to fit exactly in 1 DVD.

Meanwhile I bought another DVD-R cakebox, but nothing change, the BH10LS30 don't burn any media.

So I tried to create a new "data" Project , no "DVD Video" and it was burned successfully, so I burned again the Video project and it was burned successfully !!!!!

Finally I tried to burn again the old (defected ????) media and .... surprise .... they are burned successfully.

What's means ??? What's happened ??? How can I prevent this issue ???

I spend 2 days to solve this issue, I update all the firmware I can, I update Windows, I deinstall/install Imgburn 3 times, a lot of reboot, ... and now I don't know why ... all work fine.

Thanks a lot LUK

That's the log rather than the disc info ;)

Disc info come from the box on the right of the main window when you're in Write mode - like what I posted above.

Anyway, if the disc size is showing up correctly now then there's no problem.

As to where the problem came from in the first place, I have no idea.

ImgBurn just displays / uses what the drive tells it.

So,next time I look with more attention, to understand the issue
