I try to burn a game for xbox 360 but then it say "Set L0 Data Zone Capacity Failed! - Reason: Power Calibration Area Error"

I use Verbatim DVD+R DL 8x

I tryied to burn with speed 1x and 2x.

As I understood from other topics, i have to update firmware??? Sorry for beeing such a noob but how do you do that? Can anyone tell me step by step how to do it?

Or maybe there is something else that I can do?

Thanks for your answer. Tried to upgrade firmware from the link you posted. Did it, but the error still remains. So the next thing I guess from your other post is 2.Try cleaning the drive. Amm, how do I do that? Thanks

Like it says, with a 'cleaning disc'. :)

 

You can buy them in most electronics stores.

 

Here in the UK they can cost 50% of a new drive, so I'd probably just go for a new drive instead.

 

Thats it!?!? There`s nothing else I can try do to get that error off?

You can try all the options mentioned in that thread I linked you to.

 

I'm just saying that rather than spending £10 - £15 on a cleaning disc that may or may not work, you're better off buying a new drive for £20 - £30

 

If you already had a cleaning disc, obviously it wouldn't be a problem.
