shirelets
Had been unable to successfully play DVD copied with Nero (original created via camcorder), so read various web forums, downloaded Imgburn and worked brilliantly so many thanks to Lightning and pals. I just created a video file from the original DVD then wrote it to a blank DVD - simples! I'm not very computer whizzy. sorry, so probably a dumb question. I then wanted to email my computer whizzy son the video and in my simple mind thought I could simply attach the Imgburn created iso file to an email. Firstly when I attached it, iso file size shrank from 4.3Gb to 386Mb, then OE said 'could not send' until I deleted the iso attachment. So please explain what's going on and what's the best way I can send him the video please - or do I make another DVD copy and mail it?
LIGHTNING UK!
Yeah, that's too big for email. You could try uploading it to a file hosting website (rapidshare, hotfile, fileserve etc) but it might take ages and could also fail. I'd go with the idea of burning a 2nd disc and posting it. shirelets
Ta for quick response, warned you it's dumb question! Ok I'll revert to mail, but interested to know why OE gave iso file size as 'only' 386Mb or did I just overload it's size counter? Thanks again. LIGHTNING UK!
...or did I just overload it's size counter? Yup, it probably wrapped round when it got to 4GB.
ianymaty
uTorrent has a nice feature of local private tracker (need to be enabled in settings). Make it a .torrent and send the few kb file by email than the program will care the rest. Here is how to do it. http://bootstrike.com/Articles/CreateTorrent/
mmalves
It's easier to just enable DHT on both ends (sender and receiver) and let it interconnect themselves
