dber101
Hi I have been using image burn for awhile now to backup my cd's to my computer. In the past most of the cd's when inserted would show the cd information ie: artist, cd title, track titles. But recently any cd I insert shows up unknown. LIGHTNING UK!
Are you sure you were using ImgBurn? ImgBurn might list CD-TEXT if it's on the disc, but most don't have it. ImgBurn usually saves as BIN/CUE files - is that how your other discs have been 'backed up' ?

But I have done quite a bit and normally about 1 out of every 5 doesn't show the information.
LIGHTNING UK!
What's showing that info, ImgBurn itself or Media Player? Media Player would get that info from the Internet.

Before ImageBurn Showed it but now I have to name each burn otherwise it defaults to image.bin
LIGHTNING UK!
Then there's no CD-TEXT on the discs you're ripping. Like I say, CD-TEXT isn't common on discs. It's normally only ones coming out of a Sony factory that have it on them. You can't do anything to stop it reading it - there's no option for it - so it's just one of those things.
