kiminvan Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 I am a newbie to burning but I do know that DVD+RW means that you should be able to format and use the disk again, and I have successfuly done it on Imgburn before. So this is a little weird that all my disks say that they are "Write Protected". Did I accidentally do something to Imgburn? Someone told me to just put in the disk and the software (again Imgburn ) will ask me if if I want to copy over it, but it didn't. Does anybody know what I am doing wrong?

LIGHTNING UK! Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 When the drive responds with 'Write Protected', it usually means it doesn't support the media. A firmware update may fix that. Otherwise, you'll have to use different discs.
