russ Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 I am trying to convert a folder (an Operating System legally obtained) to a boot image using ImgBurn 2.5.5.0. So far I have ... 1. Selected the "Source Folder" 2. Selected a "Destination" for the Image 3. Opened the "Advanced" tab 4. Opened the "Bootable Disc" tab and selected "Make Image Bootable" At this point, I evidently must choose a "Boot Image" file. I'm not sure what this means, but looking in the "boot" folder portion of the folder that I am trying to convert, I find the following files ... A. bcd B. boot.sdi C. bootfix.bin D. bootsect.exe E. etfsboot.com F. memtest.exe I suspect the last two files above can be eliminated as possibilities. Which one do I choose? Thanks
russ Posted August 26, 2011 Author Posted August 26, 2011 While waiting for an answer, I was able to look around the ImgBurn site and found the helpful article "How to create a Windows Vista/7 installation disc (bootable) using ImgBurn". The article gave me the exact information I needed to make the image. Thanks,
