macycat Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Hello, I have a similar problem to one that Gitaroo posted on 01 August 2011 - 12:49 AM: I have a LG BH12LS35, every time when I try to verify a disc I copied, it only read at 2x even though it was burning at 12x speed. And it only does that to dvdr. All the bd-r that I burn verify at max speed. I also tried other program to burn some dvdr and verfy, and they read at max speed. Any idea what is wrong? The difference is my slow verify performance is with bd-r. I can write at up to 10x with Philips 6x bd-r media, but the verify operation for a nearly completely full disc takes about 24 minutes. When I copy the files directly using Windows explorer, the operation only takes about half that time, around 12 minutes. Any ideas???
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 There's some glitch in the firmware on LG Blu-ray drives that stops them from spinning up to the specified/required speed. There's already a workaround in place for the issue and it'll first be available in 2.5.6.0.
