Hello there

I got issues with burning CD's for a while (like 3-4 months ago i had no problems)

In the beginning i wasnt paying it much attention but lately i found out that it might be serious

I cannot burn CD's

Tried with the integrated program of Win 7 , Nero, Ashampoo and for last Imgburn

According to the logs i had issue with the STDP or w/e it was, thanks to your forum i managed to fix that

After the reboot i tried again and it began burning

at the end...failed again

Thank you for the responce

I did what you told me, tried on 16x and changed the CD

(not the model you mentioned, i dont think ive seen such here where i live)

By the 2nd try gave some other error but it crashed and i couldnt save it..

When i clicked the button of the CD rom it began making some weird noises and refused to open

So before being sure that it is a hardware, i read that there is some thing called firmware

Since im kind of a noob with such things do you have any idea where to get such thing and how to install it?

The model of my CD rom is - CDW/DVD TS-L462D ata device, running on windows 7 ultimate x86

If the drive is in a laptop, you'd get the firmware from whoever made it.

It looks like it may have been Acer, in which case, good luck with that! (They aren't very good with releasing firmware updates)
