Rachel
I have a technical problem which I hope someone can help me with... I have been burning a set of Verbatim DVD+Rs at 16x for awhile, without any problems until recently. Now they always have errors, even when I burn at 1x. When I burn Maxell DVD+RWs at 4x, they turn out fine. Here is the log of burning a DVD+R: I 19:59:16 ImgBurn Version 2.5.5.0 started! LIGHTNING UK!
1x doesn't exist, the supported speeds for your drive/firmware on MCC-004-00 media are: 6x, 8x, 12x, 16x Where did you get that 8L72 firmware from? It might be worth trying to (cross)flash with the latest 8L0C firmware instead. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Lite-On/iHES208%2B2/files.html If the flasher rejects your drive you'll have to get a firmware bin file for the iHES208 from the MyCE forums and flash it with a 3rd party flash tool you'll also find on that site. Have you tried a disc from another spindle? Maybe you got a bad batch.
Rachel
Thanks for the reply; I'll try another spindle, and if that doesn't work, I'll look into updating the firmware.
