DVD+Rs will no longer burn

I have a technical problem which I hope someone can help me with...

 

 

I have been burning a set of Verbatim DVD+Rs at 16x for awhile, without any problems until recently. Now they always have errors, even when I burn at 1x. When I burn Maxell DVD+RWs at 4x, they turn out fine.

I'd like to be able to use my DVD+Rs; any help is appreciated.

1x doesn't exist, the supported speeds for your drive/firmware on MCC-004-00 media are: 6x, 8x, 12x, 16x

 

Where did you get that 8L72 firmware from?

 

It might be worth trying to (cross)flash with the latest 8L0C firmware instead.

If the flasher rejects your drive you'll have to get a firmware bin file for the iHES208 from the MyCE forums and flash it with a 3rd party flash tool you'll also find on that site.

 

Have you tried a disc from another spindle? Maybe you got a bad batch.

Thanks for the reply; I'll try another spindle, and if that doesn't work, I'll look into updating the firmware.
