trying to burn dvd

Alright I use a vaio laptop running windows 7 i have RW-R dvds and i have converted my files to dvd format instead of the original avi. I tried following this guide (originally with the avi files but they didn't work) and then with the dvd files. When it was verifying the disc I kept getting an error,

for everything, litterally all ten episode files did the same thing and i have no idea why it wouldn't burn. I just want the disc to play in a dvd player normally (one episode after the other) but it tells me that the disc is an unknown disc (with both the avi burn and dvd burn) why is this?

The fact you have a file on it called *.mpg means you haven't convert them to DVD Video format properly or you aren't burning the right thing.

 

The burn failures are probably down to the discs you're using.

well the error message is what the log had, it was the exact same each time,

there was just one for every file (there were ten files in all) as for posting the log it's been deleted now since i closed the program. as for converting I use winfxvideo converter, and apparently when i set it to convert to dvd, was there a specific kind of dvd file it needs to be changed to? the default one is NTSC DVD full screen. the discs are just regular memorex RW-R.

It's not just the error message that we need to see.

 

The logs are saved automatically, you can access them via the option in the Help menu.

 

Like I said, you don't have mpg files on a proper DVD Video disc so either it's not converting properly or you're not burning the right thing.

If your drive just keeps producing unreadable discs when you use 'CMC MAG. AM3' stuff, buy some better ones. Look for Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden instead.
