I used to make AVCHD DVD's that were readable on the PS3. I'm using the latest imgburn with Maxell DVD+RDL disks. Unfortunately every disc I have burned recently is unreadable by the PS3. I'm sure there's some little tweak I'm missing or got reset during an update but I can't figure it out. The DVD's are readable by the PC's blueray drive that I used to burn it so I don't think its a media problem and I've burned many DVD's from the same batch with older versions of imgburn.

I seem to remember some discussion about setting book type and I also seem to remember that it should be set to "DVD-R" but whatever I try to do , Imgburn lists book type as "DVD-ROM" in the log.

Can anyone help?

What program are you using to create the AVCHD folder structure in the first place?

Post a log of you burning + verifying such a disc please.

I used multiAVCHD to create the disc either in direct mode or first creating an ISO file and then burning from that (in the past, when I was successfully burning these discs, creating the ISO file was the only way I could force Imgburn to burn the blank DVR+RDL disc as a DVD-R disc). That seems to be the crux of the problem.

Well then maybe I'm not recalling how I created the last twentry or so double layer DVD's. How would you recommend I burn a DVD+RDL that will read on a Playstation 3? As I mentioned the latest batch of DVD's I tried burning all read fine on a PC but do not read on a PS3.

I can't help until you post a log - I did ask nicely in post # 2.

Assuming your ImgBurn settings are ok, it must the source files (and / or folder structure) that's wrong - in which case you should take this problem up with the author of multiAVCHD over at the Doom9 forums.
