Cynthia Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 There is a later firmware. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Lite-On/iHAS120%2B6/files.html Cheap discs are a bit of hit and miss. Try with Verbatims.

Se7enModz Posted September 16, 2011 Author Posted September 16, 2011 Wait so i need to buy new disks??? I already bought three 10 packs af AonePlus. They are good disks and previously worked. Also im getting my FW flashed againg on my xbox, ive sent it off. But i dont even get to the xbox. It fails when burning.
Cynthia Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Aone can be two different media codes. Sure the old ones had the same one? Disc ID: RICOHJPN-D01-67
Se7enModz Posted September 16, 2011 Author Posted September 16, 2011 Aone can be two different media codes. Sure the old ones had the same one? Disc ID: RICOHJPN-D01-67 I was using the same packet. I bought the three 10-packs at the same time. Where do i find this? Disc ID: RICOHJPN-D01-67
Cynthia Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 By inserting a previous burned (and working disc) in the drive and in ImgBurn look for this type of row. I 16:33:51 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: RICOHJPN-D01-67) (Speeds: 4x) For the previously burned ones, you should be able to see it if you enter the read mode and look in the right side of the program. The other media code they used/use on Aone discs is this one. UMEDISC-DL1-64 When the burner tries to find the best writing strategy it is basing it on these media codes and not on the "brand" of the disc. Some media codes are better supported (not so likely to fail in the burn) by some burners compared to other burners.
Se7enModz Posted September 17, 2011 Author Posted September 17, 2011 i gave one of my disks out of the exact same packet to my mate and he burnt the iso fine with no errors on imgburn, it works fine on my xbox. Why when i burn now i still get this error. (i dont think its the disks)
Cynthia Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 And he has the exact same model of burner as you?
Se7enModz Posted September 17, 2011 Author Posted September 17, 2011 And he has the exact same model of burner as you? Doubt it im just using a built in 1 on ma PC.
Cynthia Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 As written before, some burners like these cheap discs and some just give them a bit of burns sometimes ok.
Se7enModz Posted September 17, 2011 Author Posted September 17, 2011 So where can i get a good burner as cheap as possible?? Im skint atm and cant afford to pay alot for 1.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 You can get one from just about any online computer store. Try an Optiarc 7260 or 7280. You can get them for about £20 (I got a 7280 for £20.27 off ebay a few weeks ago) If you want to research their burning capabilities with the media you use, head over to the MyCE forums and read the threads covering those drives.
