caioco Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 So I am trying my best to burn some Bluray discs from an ISO file. It worked once, using ImgBurn but hasn't since. Every time since then I keep getting the message "Device Not Ready (No Reference Point Found). I'm using a Kanguru external Blu-ray disc burner with its approved BD-R disc type, single layer, 25GB by Maxell. Please help! This is beyond frustrating. This is what is coming up in the ImgBurn Log: W 10:37:49 Device Arrival Detected! I 10:37:49 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 10:37:49 -> Drive 1 - Info: MATSHITA BD-CMB UJ141ES 1.00 (E:) (ATAPI) I 10:37:49 -> Drive 2 - Info: TQXY PQ709AR 3.5Z (G:) (SCSI) I 10:37:49 -> Drive 3 - Info: Optiarc BD RW BD-5300S 1.03 (H:) (USB) I 10:37:49 Found 1 BD-ROM/HD DVD-ROM, 1 BD-ROM/DVD±RW and 1 BD-RE!
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Try again after updating to the latest firmware. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Optiarc/BD-5300S/files.html This is a drive/firmware/media combo issue and nothing to do with ImgBurn.
caioco Posted September 27, 2011 Author Posted September 27, 2011 Thank you for advising me! So I updated it, restarted the computer, got the notice that it was installed and then the same issue. Any other suggestions? Try again after updating to the latest firmware. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Optiarc/BD-5300S/files.html This is a drive/firmware/media combo issue and nothing to do with ImgBurn.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 If your drive can't initialise those discs then you'll have to try some others. If it fails with everything you should consider it faulty and get a new drive.
