SirBurnsalot Posted October 5, 2011 Share Posted October 5, 2011 I've been using ImgBurn for quite some time now and have been using the program exclusively to burn bd-r's exclusively for well over a year. During that time I've pretty much used only one namebrand of media, Optical Quantum. I burnt a few bd-r's tonight and then suddently I started getting errors. I have spent the last few hours going through spindles of discs and I've been able to burn like 3 or 4 max; the other times I get the error. Please help! LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 5, 2011 Share Posted October 5, 2011 Do you have any discs that aren't using the 'PHILIP-R04-000' dye? You need to try the drive with a different one (the higher quality the better) and see if it has the same problem. If it does, the drive might need cleaning - or it could have developed a fault. The logs show you've tried burning at 4x and 6x... it might be worth trying the other supported speeds too. Hopefully each attempt shown in the log was with a new disc and not trying to reuse the same one over and over again. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Also, I tried burning at all supported speeds, used about 50 different disks and used a lens cleanser. I don't know if this matters, but I have no issues burning dvd-r isos with two different namebrand discs with the same drive... Is it likely I just got a bad batch of them? Is it likely I just got a bad batch of them? (These 60 discs arrived in the mail two days ago) Anything is possible. There's no magic fix for when a drive keeps failing to burn discs, you just have to try and bunch of things (media, firmware, write speed, actual drive etc) until you find a combination that works.
