Try with some better quality media like Verbatim. have tried verbatim, have run out of verbatim , have tried newer version, thats when this started so have gone back to the old version, it is like it is blocking it from writing the second part of the disc, as soon as time remaining and elapsed time meet it fails. is there a setting for dual layer i am missing??? thanks. mick50008 Posted October 7, 2011 Author Share Posted October 7, 2011 i just noticed if i go into imgburn > tools > drive > display ifo layerbreak information, it says that "this is not a double layer dvd disc" does that mean my discs are not really double layer? it says they are on the pack, wtf? i have backed up one game successfully out of 25 discs. all settings are accurate, is it possible that that is correct and these discs are single layer? thanks. mmalves Posted October 7, 2011 Share Posted October 7, 2011 The burner process relies entirely on the burner/firmware/media combination, so those are the things you can try changing in order to get a good burn. And that Display IFO Layerbreak option has nothing to do with being dual-layer media or not, it's for checking pressed/burned DVD-Video discs only, not blank media. mick50008 Posted October 7, 2011 Author Share Posted October 7, 2011 well i dont know. after 25 failed attempts with imgburn, i tried clone cd and it worked. i have tried resetting defaults in imgburn and still no good, sorry to say i think i might need to make the change. thanks anyway.
