Rob Mason Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 Back in the days of burning DL DVDs, ImgBurn always asked me, before making the burn, where I wished to put the layer break and more importantly, whether or not to make the break "seamless". Now, thanks to that marvelous program, "BD Rebuilder", I'm using Imgburn to burn BD-9s, but sadly I no longer see the option to turn on "seamless". As a result, I'm getting an "old friend" back...that annoying pause in playback about half way through the BD movie. I personally would like the option of ALWAYS turning on "seamless" any time I'm using DVD+R DL media, be it a DVD9 or BD9. However, I can find no place to do this, much less get the option of turning it on a case-by-case basis when burning BD9s. Ideas? Thanks. PS-I've seen posts here that say the idea of "seamless" and/or layer-breaks doesn't apply to Blu-ray. Yeah, maybe for Blu-ray media, but that doesn't seem to be the case for burning Blu-ray content on a DVD+R DL disc.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 9, 2011 Posted October 9, 2011 No such thing exists for Blu-ray. It was a flag set in IFO files and of course they don't exist unless it's a DVD Video compilation. If you're getting a pause with Blu-ray content on DVD then it's down to your player not using a sufficiently large buffer (or a difficult to read disc).
