I have an solution for the BenQ 1625,HP640C, Philips DVD16LS Dual Layer problems.. these drives are rebadged BenQ1625 and it does not support 8x DL media not even Verbatim ! With this firmware patch it supports Verbatim,Platinum, Memorex,Mediarange 8x Dual layer media.. I have tested all these media except Verbatim.. but the 8x Verbatim should works also. I will test the Verbatim when I get them..
