I JUST bought a new burner(wich i had to buy from somebody, he said that would work with the xbox games) (And yes, i'm using a cheap disk, do i need to try verbattim? Your drive is suitable for the modified firmware but you have actually flashed it with it. That is of course nothing to do with ImgBurn or this forum. Find an xbox related site to help you.
