LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 The first error is the important one... in your case, a 'Write Error'. So the drive had a problem writing to the discs. It's probably 6 or 7 years old now and the discs you're using (RITEKF1) are just a budget (cheapo) MID/dye. Cleaning the drive may help. If it fails to burn all the time now, buy better discs, a new drive or both. You also need to update ImgBurn.

My drive is about 10 years old and has been having issues reading commercial discs lately. My PC is also about 10 years old. I know I have cheap discs but haven't had issues before. Thanks again. Can you recommend an external burner for me? Do blue-ray burners also burn DVD and CD's? I'd like to get one of those.
