mafro34 Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 About two hours ago I successfully burnt onto a disc out of a brand new pack of Verbatim 8x DVD+R DL disc's. Now however when I insert another disc from the pack ImgBurn wont let me burn as it says "Disc Not Empty". I have ejected and reinserted the disc(s) many times and this hasn't helped, I also rebooted my machine which again didn't help. I am running ImgBurn 2.5.6.0 Here's the stuff from the side info pane: HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GSA-H55N 1.06 (ATA) Current Profile: DVD+RW Disc Information: Status: Unknown State of Last Session: Unknown Erasable: Unknown Formatted: Unknown Sessions: Unknown Sectors: 2,228,225 Size: 4,563,404,800 bytes Time: 495:11:50 (MM:SS:FF) Supported Write Speeds: 2.4x TOC Information: Session 1... LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Your drive isn't initialising the disc properly. If it's just discs from a new spindle, try another spindle. You could also try cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc.
mafro34 Posted November 24, 2011 Author Posted November 24, 2011 (edited) Hi, thanks for your quick response. I have tried new discs and have also used a cleaning disk and the problem persists. What should I do? Thanks Edited November 24, 2011 by mafro34
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Ideally, try your drive in another machine and/or another drive in your machine.
