Hello !

I'm trying to burn XGD3 games with my new IHAS 124B burner (with C4eva firmware) and I always have the same problem.

I'm using verbatim MKM-003 discs but verification fails at 50% with the message : "l-ec uncorrectable error"

I've tried with different options and write speeds but the problem is always here ...

Here is the log of my last burn :

Are the Verbs from Singapore?

http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?act=findpost&pid=136519

Look at that thread/post and scroll down to 'Attempt 8'.

Basically, try burning at 4x with OPC off.

EEPROM settings should be as follows:

Advanced Settings - Force HT: Yes, Online HT: No, OverSpeed: No, SmartBurn: Yes

Before attemting your first burn with those settings, clear OPC history and then power cycle the drive (i.e. turn your computer off and on again)

If that doesn't work, you should probably get another spindle of Verbatim MKM-003-00 (MIS) and try it again.

Thank you for your answer.

I don't know if the Verbs are from Singapore... How can I verify it ?

I'm gonna try with your settings or with another Verbs !

I've verified and my Verbs are coming from Singapore ...

I've also tried with your settings and I always had the same problem.

Please, help me !!! I'm going to be crazy with this problem !!

If your drive and discs don't want to work together then there's nothing I can do about it. It's a hardware issue.

I told you exactly what (eventually) worked for me. If you're 100% sure you've followed exactly what I said then you've done all you can.

Buy some other discs and/or another drive - see if you have the same issue with the new one(s).

I've also tried to burn other files or XGD2 games and everything is OK ...

And if I burn XGD3 games without C4eva's firmware (truncated method), everything is OK too !

I'm gonna try with another drive or DVD's ...
