Hey support sub forum.

I just installed imgburn and I'm trying to burn an ISO for my hard drive drivers in order to reformat the hard drive and I keep getting the error in the title.

I 12:41:23 ImgBurn Version 2.5.6.0 started!

I 12:41:23 Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 3)

I 12:41:23 Total Physical Memory: 2,096,428 KB - Available: 1,282,680 KB

I 12:41:23 Initialising SPTI...

I 12:41:23 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices...

I 12:41:23 -> Drive 1 - Info: SONY CD-RW CRX230EE 2YS8 (E:) (ATA)

I 12:41:23 Found 1 CD-RW!

I've taken out the CD-R and replaced it with another one several times.

No results.

Your drive doesn't appear to support the disc(s) you're trying to use.

You're quite sure it's a CD you're putting in the drive and not a DVD?

Can the drive read other CDs ok?

And iTunes can still burn them ok?

To ImgBurn, your drive is reporting itself exactly as you see it there - 'Medium Not Present'.

Yea it does.

Maybe it could have broken since the last time I used it somehow.

It's strange because I can access the disc by just using my computer.

It's an issue with the drive. let me take it out and put it back in.

Ok itunes and imgburn don't read the discs. going to try to put in a burned disc to see if it's just the disc.

yea it's shot.

can I burn CD's with a DVD RW?
