Edorf Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Hi, I am new to the forum, but I have not found posts that cover my problems. I am trying to burn a backup of my Navigation disk, have manged to create an image on my hardisk. The problem is to burn the image to a DVD. I have Samsung Q530 and are using Traxdata DVD+R DL (8X double layer DVD recordable). First of all I do not know which manufacturer I should choose in order to change booktype to DVD ROM. When I choose Samsung and change to DVD ROM it says Successfull, but Booktype still says DVD +R DL on the main page ? When I try to burn I get an error message E 11:52:43 Optimal layer break position must be a multiple of 16. (See attached Log file) What am I doing wrong ? Or is the media wrong, should I buy other discs ? Best regards, ImgBurn.log
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 ImgBurn handles booktype stuff on Samsung drives automatically. Of course you have to actually burn the disc to have the drive change the booktype as instructed by the program. You can't burn that image with the layerbreak in the position it's meant to be - it's not a 'legal' place for any media an end user can burn. If you can't ignore the warning/use the suggested LB position and have a working disc, you're out of luck.
Edorf Posted December 16, 2011 Author Posted December 16, 2011 Is it possible to change User Specified L0 Data Zone Capacity to: 1 921 168 or do I have to create a new image ?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Yes, you can just specify the layer break value in Tools -> Settings -> 'Write' tab. No, you don't have to create a new image. Alternatively, make another MDS file using the feature in the Tools menu and provide that layer break position.
Edorf Posted December 16, 2011 Author Posted December 16, 2011 Thank you I am impressed by the quick response
ianymaty Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Not ineffectually his name is LIGHTNING UK!
