bigtimmo Posted December 17, 2011 Share Posted December 17, 2011 (edited) I am unable to burn an image file or folders (BDMV and Certificate folders) to a dual layer BD-R disc. I assure you I have searched the forum, but have not see anyone with this exact problem. So if I've missed something, or have just not realized that a solution is already on here somewhere, I apologize in advance. Also, I have followed the burning guides available here on the forum, to include changing the settings under the "Options" tab (which worked great for a single layer burn btw.) I haven't had any trouble with single layer discs, and this is my first attempt at burning a BD-R with files greater than 25gb to a dual layered disc. The discs I am using are Digistor 50GB 6X BD-R. I have attached two screenshots and hope that it is merely a problem with my ImgBurn settings, although they are on the default settings. Here are my pertinent laptop specs: HP Pavilion dv7t-6100 CTO Quad Edition Entertainment Notebook PC • Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit • 2nd generation Intel® Core i7-2670QM (2.2 GHz, 6MB L3 Cache) with Turbo Boost up to 3.1 GHz • 2GB Radeon HD 6770M GDDR5 Graphics [HDMI, VGA] • 8GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm) • 750GB 7200 rpm Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection • 17.3" Full HD BrightView Infinity LED(1920x1080) • Blu-ray writer & SuperMulti DVD burner (HP BD-RE BT11N) • HP TrueVision HD Webcam with Integrated Digital Microphone and HP SimplePass Fingerprint Reader • Intel 802.11b/g/n WLAN and Bluetooth® My files were all "created" with AnyDVD HD, should that have any impact on things. I have disabled (shutdown) AnyDVD HD before any attempting any burns. Also, no data is being burned to the BD-R discs as they are still at full capacity (46.6 GB)...so I'm not yet creating "coasters." Thank you all for any info. I purchased these discs because of the great reviews they had and other peoples' successes using them. Any suggestions as to how to know if a drive is compatible with certain media? I have read a lot of praise for Vertabim media on this forum, but how would I know even that highly recommended brand would work other than buying and trying? If you're lucky, you can sometimes find someone else with your drive posting success with certain media - but your drive isn't very common.
