Not burning the whole movie - 112min of 152 min

I've used imgburn for several years and have only had this happen twice. When i burn an avi file 1,435,538 to a DVD 4.3GB, only about half the movie appears on the disk. You can tell by looking at the disk that only about 1/3 to 1/2 the disk has been burned. The last time i ran into this, i converted the avi to mpeg format and then burned it. This time when i tried that, the file was 2.7GB after conversion. Does anyone know what is wrong or why it might not be burning the whole movie to the disk? There appears to be plenty of recording area left on the disk. I tried several disks thinking maybe a bad disk, but the results were the same. I included both logs from dvdflick and imgburn. I edited out the file name.

ImgBurn is burning whatever you give it.

If you burn a 1.4GB AVI file, it'll still be a 1.4GB AVI once it's on a DVD.

If you decide to convert it to a proper DVD Video format and that doesn't output the correct size / misses something, that's down to whichever program you used for the job.

So if DVD Flick isn't working for you, try another program.

The program works beautifully. Not a problem with it, I was just a little curious what might be going on and if anyone else had run into this problem. It has to be in the file i've got but i can't find what is doing it. I'm sorry if you thought i was putting the program down because it is #1 in my books! Keep up the good work.

DVD Flick is seeing your AVI as being 6761 long.

1:37:06 PM: Source : C:\Downloads\Movies\xxxxxxxxxxxx.avi

1:37:06 PM: Properties : 624x352, 1.77:1, 23.976 FPS, mpeg4, 6761 seconds

6761 seconds = 112.683333 minutes

112 minutes = 1 hour, 52 minutes.

Your topic title suggests 152 minutes (2hrs, 32 mins!)... could that be a mistake on your part?

You're right, 1hr 52min is what length the movie actually is, i did make the mistake. I played the movie from my passport on my Samsung flatscreen, decided to burn it and that's when i ran into trouble.
