Keith Weisshar
Does ImgBurn give a warning when using advanced settings and booktype when writing to EEPROM or Flash RAM that it can only be updated a limited number of times?
LIGHTNING UK!
It doesn't, no. A generic google search for maximum eeprom write cycles suggest most can handle 100,000+. I'm not sure a warning is really required when you're talking about those kinds of figures.
Keith Weisshar
I have found http://club.myce.com/f34/dvd-player-wont-read-backup-dvd-227201/ on Google and on Post #6 it says Under the Nu Tech tab, I found this option: Drive (For DVD-R Media - Flash RAM!) that makes the Change button active, but I get this message: "Flash RAM can only be updated a limited number of times. Would you like to continue anyway?". Do Nu Tech drives have a hard limit on how many times the booktype settings can be written to Flash RAM? Keith Weisshar
Is there a risk of damage if I use the wrong drive tab for my drive? I have a Sony Optiarc BD-5300S-03.
LIGHTNING UK!
Nu-tech drives are all but dead. They're not even worth mentioning these days - I've obviously forgotten about them and any extra warning messages I was made to add in when I implemented their code! No, the drive will just report an error.
